This unusual, very artistic brooch was perhaps made by Native Americans or possibly in Mexico. It is vintage 1920s to 1940s and is silver (most likely sterling, although unmarked and unsigned) set with turquoise, carnelian, malachite, onyx and mother of pearl. The gems form a face adorned with a feathered headress. The brooch measures 7/8 inch by 3/4 inch. The pin-back is original and functions well. The overall condition is excellent, with no losses, breaks, dents, or other problems. This item weighs .1 ounce.
