This 6 1/4 inch wide souvenir plate depicts a map of the Panama Canal zone. The map is surrounded by the months of the year for 1915, American flags and red and white bunting. The outer rim is painted in gold which has faded considerably over the years. This calendar plate was issued, "Compliments of Joseph Eslin & Son, Bakers, Bangor, Maine." Overall, the condition is good. It has no chips or cracks, but does have crazing and some darkening of the background on both the front and back. The maker's mark on the reverse is that of the Harker Pottery Company of East Liverpool, Ohio. This plate weighs 6.6 ounces.
