This unusual item is a trinket box with a lid decorated with molded flowers and a large faux pearl, which is also a brooch. The lid, or brooch, is 1 3/4 inches wide. The pinback works very well. The box as a whole is 1 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/8 inches tall. The condition is excellent, with signs of normal, light wear. There are no dents, bends, breaks or engravings. The bowl is signed on the base, "Seagull, Fine Pewter, Pugwash, N. S. Canada. We estimate that this little box was manufactured some time between the 1950s and the 1970s. It weighs 2.1 ounce.
