This circa 1890 jewelry box measures 3 1/4 inches tall, 3 3/4 inches long, and 2 1/2 inches wide. It is in very good condition. The metal body is a simple white metal with gold paint. In a few outer edges, the gold layer has worn away from having been handled over time. There are no other detractors from this antique jewelry casket. The interior is still lined, both in the lid and in the body with the original powder blue fabric. The hinge is intact and works well. There is no maker's mark. This item weighs 7.2 ounces.
