This fine, antique, oval picture frame is deeply carved and containes a thin, gilt metal inner frame. It is either walnut or cherry. This item measures 13 1/2 inches long, 11 5/8 inches wide, and 1 3/4 inches deep. The frame containes an antique print of a fashionable but unknown young woman of the 19th century. The glass is original, as is the wood backing. In its entirety, this item appears to be original to the mid to late 19th century. The condition is excellent overall. The wood has only a few very minor surface scratches. There are no chips or cracks. It was constructed in four parts and is unsigned. This item weighs 1 pound, 7 ounces.
