This early 20th century tapestry is framed in a thin, wooden frame measuring 17 1/2 inches by 12 1/2 inches by 1/2 inch. The tapestry itself is in good condition. There are no holes, tears or lost stitches. It has been pulled taught over a backboard, but there is no glass. The tapestry has some age spots along the outer edges, but the majority of the image is clean and unstained. The image is of a young woman holding her needlework and surrounded by a wreath of flowers. It is rich in texture and softly colored with pastel pink, blue, green and beige. There are no signatures on the textile. The frame is in good condition in that it is solidly together at the corners and has no breaks or chips. There are numerous tiny scratches and rubbed areas along the outer edges of the frame. This item was framed by The Denver Dry Goods Company of Denver, Colorado. It weighs 1 pound, 4 ounces.
