This is a collection of six 19th century botanical prints; all are ferns and greenery. Four appear to have been cut from the same publication (the title of which is unknown), as they are all 9 5/8 inches by 5 3/4 inches. The sixth measures 9 3/4 inches by 6 3/4 inches. All are quite suitable for framing, with no tears, stains, foxing or other flaws. The paper is heavy and the prints themselves are crisp and the colors are vibrant. There is very minor wear from being handled and the paper has a slightly deeper shading around the edges from age. All plates are blank on the reverse; none are signed by the artist. Each is labeled with the Latin name and a Roman numeral and volume number at the base. The six include: Polypodium Intecrifolium, Tradescantia Odoratissima, Begonia Marshalli, Acrostichum Gardereanum, Acrostichum Brevipes, and Cleandra Nodosa. All together, these six pages weigh 1.3 ounces.
